This is a homemade Co2 generator that you can make. It is Very easy to make!
One process that creates CO2 is the fermentation of sugar. I filled the 2l bottle about 3 inches high with sugar. Then fill the bottle with hot water about way full. Shake well. Add 1 packet of yeast to this mixture. Shake well. The yeast will become active and start to break down the sugar. The temperature of the mixture will rise (gets almost too hot to hold). This is a sign that the chemical reaction is working. DO not cover the bottle or it will rupture. Place this behind your oscillating fan.
Eventually the sugar will be gone and CO2 will stop being produced, this takes a while... not sure exactly how long though. You can just add more sugar to keep "feeding" the yeast.
This is an inexpensive way to generate CO2, and anyone can do it.
